Our fourth event in the series will take place via Zoom next Thursday, June 16, from 12:00 to 12:30 pm. Our guests are Alessandro Biffi, MD, and Jonathan Rosand, MD, MSC.

Alessandro Biffi MD, is a clinician-scientist, neuropsychiatrist and a faculty member within the Henry and Allison McCance Center for Brain Health at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research team, the Aging and Brain Health Research (ABHR) Group, focuses on developing precision medicine tools for prevention and treatment of cognitive, behavioral and psychiatric disorders of aging. He and his colleagues study individuals at high risk for brain function impairment, specifically focusing on the interface area between neurological (Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia) and psychiatric disorders (anxiety, depression). He has spearheaded research efforts aimed at determining individual-level risk for maintenance/loss of cognitive integrity, by combining information derived from clinical observation, neuroimaging and genetic data using state-of-the-art analytical tools.

He will be interviewed by Jonathan Rosand, MD, MSC, Co-Founder and Managing Co-Director of the McCance Center, Investigator within the Center for Genomic Medicine at Mass General, Professor of Neurology at Harvard, Associate Member of the Broad Institute, and holder of the J.P. Kistler Endowed Chair in Neurology at Mass General.
